The process of entrepreneurial opening in the field of smart specialization Bioactive substances and pharmaceuticals for human health has been started in Kyiv region!
On 9 November, the first online meeting of stakeholders in the format Business-science-government-public organizations took place.
The meeting was opened by Natalia Pohrebna, Director of the Department of Economics and Digitalization of Kyiv Regional State Administration.
Olena Yefimenko, Head of the Health Department of Kyiv Regional State Administration, outlined a number of issues that will be of a top priority for the region's health care sector in the medium term prospects.
The participants of the meeting presented the results of the preliminary SWOT-analysis of the pharmaceutical industry of Kyiv region, conducted by scientists of the Institute of Economics and Forecasting at NASU.
According to scientists, the production of domestic innovative pharmaceutical products in the context of the development of ‘smart specialisation’ is focused on the creation of immunobiological medical preparations, prophylactic vaccines using nano- and biotechnologies; manufacture of drugs from human donor blood plasma; etc.
Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University, the flagship of biotechnology in agriculture, which is able to strengthen the position of the city of Bila Tserkva in gaining the status of biotechnological capital of Ukraine, presented achievements in biotechnology for industry, agriculture and health.
In addition, Olena Nikolaenko, a representative of the All-Ukrainian Medical HUB, reviewed world trends in telemedicine. Her information will be useful to representatives of those local communities whose medical institutions receive sets of telemedicine equipment.
Bucha municipal territorial community is consistently moving in the direction of creating an innovative medical cluster. Tetiana Lipinska, Head of the Economic Development and Investment Department of Bucha MTC, presented a visualization of the future location of the cluster and land plots allocated for the cluster, told about the construction of the road leading to the cluster, and noted further steps of the cluster organisation roadmap.
The next round table, which will approve the revised SWOT-analysis of the pharmaceutical industry of Kyiv region and consider the strategic vision of the development of smart specialization of Kyiv region in the field of Bioactive substances and pharmaceuticals for human health, is scheduled for December this year.
