On 19 November 2014, an international initiative was launched to supporting and spreading rights and opportunities for women entrepreneurs around the world. As a part of this initiative, an annual Created by Women 2022 contest is held by the French-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Start of this year’s Created by Women 2022 contest was announced on 25 November.
According to Bertrand Barrier, President of the Franco-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, the objective of the contest is to show women who are just starting their careers in business that there are organisations and companies ready to support them along the way.
Oleksandra Baliasna, winner of Created by Women 2021, said:
‘It was especially important and valuable for me to learn about other entrepreneurs who are so passionate, so striving, that it inspired me every time. I realised that each of these women had made incredible achievements and was worthy of an award. For me, the contest is an extraordinary opportunity to build a community, to show that a woman can really do anything! And when we unite and support each other, we become stronger.’
Applications will be accepted until January 30, 2022. On completing the acceptance of applications, the jury will conduct the initial selection and pick 10 finalists. They will be invited to a jury interview in March.
The winner will be determined at the award ceremony on 21 April. First prize will be 100,000 hryvnias, a trip to Paris, membership in the Franco-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and support by partner companies (for 1 year).
Second prize (and this is another great innovation) will mean another trip to Paris! However, these are not the only opportunities for participants. Last year, two special awards were presented, this year there may be more.
To participate in the contest, you need to:
- Be a woman entrepreneur and founder of a company
- Fill out the form on the womanccifu.com website
- Provide a package of documents:
